Matt and Nick Leyden have always had an intense sibling rivalry. They are as opposite as fire and ice, as the women in their lives would agree. Now Nick is a successful New York City playwright about to debut his musical on Broadway. As Nick gets ready to cast the lead roles, he has a chance encounter with a teenage African American street performer, Tre.
At first, Tre doesn't think he has anything in common with Nick, but they establish a solid bridge of trust, much to Matt's chagrin and biased mind. While Nick works closely with Tre, the rift widens between brothers. Alliances shift - love is turned inside out - the world is not black and white. Life as Nick knows it might not turn out the way he imagined. The brother he'd loved and trusted could suddenly change before his very own eyes and become a threat no one saw coming.
